A Plea for Compassion: Beyond Sides in the Israeli Conflict

I caught myself going down a rabbit hole of triggering concept consumption. My brain swirling with thoughts and ideas, I know myself well enough to know that I have to let them out before I can let them go.

So I grabbed my phone and hit record.

When I first started practicing yoga, I was taught that the translation of the word means “unity. The union between you and your mind, body, and spirit but also between you and nature, the world, your community.

I think it’s why I was so drawn to yoga. More so than the postures and breathwork, it’s the philosophy behind it all that speaks to my soul: we are one. Or, as Jews say in Hebrew: ish echad.
